This adorable pair is getting an early start on friendship! Laura the piglet and Marina the kitten live at Santuario Igualdad Interespecie, a farm animal sanctuary in Chile. According to the video’s description, Laura was destined for someone’s dinner plate until she was rescued brought her to the sanctuary. After Laura’s arrival, she and Marina became close friends. Their love for each other is plain to see!
These two remind us that all animals want to be loved. While plenty of people already care for cats, there are lots of reasons to love pigs too! Pigs are playful and loving, as seen in this video. They’re also extremely intelligent and are capable of recognizing themselves in mirrors – something not even dogs and cats can do. Although it may not be a good idea to keep pigs as pets, we can learn to love them from afar – especially when they’re as precious as this little cutie!
